Wine Ridge is one of the smallest suburbs in Jefferson County, located directly east from the Canaba River. Wine Ridge is also located next to Highway 459, which is the only highway and major interstate in the area. While this community isn’t near any major highways, Wine Ridge is still an affluent neighborhood in Birmingham.

Wine Ridge is located at 33.3909” North and 86.7630” West. While Wine Ridge is a small community, it’s renowned for its open spaces, historic parks, and outdoor culture.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Wine Ridge has a total area of 12.65 square miles (08.1 km2), of which 12.13 square miles (111.7 km2) is land and 0.52 square miles (21 km2) is water.
